Tom surprised me this year by getting a little romantic. HUH?
He came back from a business trip and said, let's run off next weekend. I'll surprise you where we go. Celebrating 14 years of marriage, and 18 if you count the four he kept me hanging, it was a great weekend to do it with a little help from Grandma and Papa who watched the girls.
We wound up in Vegas - somewhere we had never been to before together. We had a ton of fun. Not very good at posing for pics but it's safe to say:
What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas :)
We stayed at the Mandalay Bay.
Breakfast for Champs! The buffet treated us to an array of yummy-ness including crepes, lox and bagels, crab legs and our fav - FREE Mimosas!
We hung by the beach/pool and meandered down the lazy river.
We checked out the Forum at Caesers Palace.

Shared an incredible dinner at the Venetian on the water.
Another incredible dinner, lakeside watching the fountain shows....

And, though I have no picture - finished the night at Cirque de Soleil's LOVE. It was amazing.

Tom was hurtin' pretty bad on the way home, so he kept up the pace with beer and In&Out :)
Until next time......................

Swim Season

The girls had so much fun participating in their first swim season. Both capped off the season with a trophy and special medal for most improved swimmer. I concur - these two have grown so much since they started a mere four weeks ago.

Britton has become tight with a fellow super swimmer - Bella :) We are having a great time this summer getting to know her and her family.
Britton also completed her first IM - four laps, one lap of each stroke. She was a trooper!!!
Megs was a little on the fence about doing it all again, but after earning her first trophy she said, "Mama, I want to do this again next year."
FINALS, below
Brit and Meg, coincidentally both place 6th in their freestyle and backstroke events.

Having a birthday normally on or around the Memorial Day holiday means EXTRA celebrating. We celebrated on her actual day, and a week later with BFFs!!!

Taylor Swift

Kaitlin was lucky enough this year to be chosen to go to the Taylor Swift concert with her friends Kiana, Andrea and Sage! So exciting. Wish I could have been with her.

Lots of great activities to wind down the school year - and for KK - her elementary years...
6th Grade bowling

Water Party - Meg's 1st grade class

 6th grade graduation - continuation

Meg's reading awards. She was one of a handful that received most improved from where she started to end of the year.

Annual Dick Visit

We always look forward to Jen and da' boys annual visit in May. This year, her momma made the trip as well as my little sis.... good times, late nights, lots of sun and fun!

Grandma DeeDee and Vince
we are loving the golf club, especially Meg who has been chasing the mama ducks and their babies down by the pond.

We are a little burned out on greyhounds after the kids cleared the neighborhood! I have grapefruits coming out my eyeballs!!

Another good friend from Denver was down here visiting.
It was great to see Michelle Brower!

Yum! My favorite kisser!!
